Default Torque converter Capacity

I searched for this unless I have missed it..wasn't able to locate it.
Does anyone know that capacity of 4.7 I appreciate your help

Probably best to contact the manufacturer and ask one of their techs

Appreciate it, Thank you, but I think I will leave well enough alone and just do the pan maybe a couple time within a few mo's to cyc the fluid

545RFE service fill 5.2L, overhaul 14-16L


48RE service fill 3.8L, overhaul 14-16L


most t/c probably hold 1-2 liter but this volume is part of the overhaul capacity.


i'm with you, why leave 1/2 the dirty old fluid in there. Other manufacturers are stating the filter no longer has to be changed if complete fluid exchanges are done from new. Maybe fca will soon follow suit.

There's about ~12qts in TQ converter and cooler lines. Your pan only holds a small portion(5.5qts)
In above thread shows very easy way to flush all old fluid out. Takes about 1hr. Don't even have to drop the pan.
