a/c problem
I have a 2004 Ram hemi and the problem is that in traffic the other day, the a/c started blowing warm air. When I started to drive at a steady speed the air got cold again. When I stopped it got warm again. Anyone have that problem before and what could be he cause?
I'm having this exact same issue on my 2006 Ram 1500 Lone Star edition. From other threads on these forums I've read and from a little googling, it seems to confirm this you can hit the fan with a small hammer or screw driver and if it starts spinning, it's definitely the fan. I also read on older models it could be a condenser fan fuse #39 if it doesn't spin at all or some kind of a relay. Does the 2006 model have this fuse/relay? It can't be #39 because that's the Sunroof/Seatbelt Tensioner fuse.
If it does infact end up being the condenser fan, can someone confirm this is what I would need?

Did you just vent the refrigerant lol? Mine absolutely cannot be removed without detaching the condenser itself.
It looked easy!!! After looking it up, yes, you have to remove the condenser. Seemed to me the fan would be attached in some other way. Another great design Fail !!!!
I am a 30 year retired, factory trained Chrysler tech. Experience does help.
I didn't take pics though.
I recently had to do right exhaust manifold bolts too.
Good luck.
So I watched the video. I don't like cutting structural items. I was able to do in the truck.
DO NOT HIT CONDENSER WITH WRENCH, OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE DOING CONDENSER TOO!
