I think I blew my ac compressor
So I went to put some Freon in my truck it sucked up two cans quickly so I went and got the third. About half way threw the 3rd can the system blew out Freon when the fan kicked on so i know i already over pressurized the system. started looking online and from my reading it says once the valve releases the freon it will force you to get a new compressor. I also touched the ac line and it almost burning hot. So if I did do this how munch is this gonna cost me? I got a 2006 dodge ram 1500, $150,000 miles.
Well from what I have read and from listing to the truck it sounds like I just over charged the system. The fan still kicks on. So would the repair shop just drain it and fill it back up? Or if i was to let it set a few days and not run the AC would it go back to normal pressure and run fine?
If you buy the parts and install them yourself you can get away with maybe $500.
Compressor $275 - Denso
Drier/accumulator $40
Orifice tube/liquid line $40
Expansion valve if applicable
Flush and PAG oil $30
Which ever line broke $
Some parts houses sell kits that include the top five parts and include a 2-year warranty.

No, the popoff valve will reseat itself just like any other relief valve. Get your ac serviced by someone with an actual machine to do it right. $149.95 is about the going rate some places are cheaper.
Went to have it looked at and saw that the condenser fan is going bad. It will turn on but only after you hit it with a pair of pliers or your hand. Now the person who looked at it called in for the part and told me that he could not get the fan by its self just the whole thing which I found odd. So I got online and found just the fan for $65. Also been watching youtube videos on it. Does not seem to hard to fix. Plus he quoted me about $280 for getting it replaced while another place would charge $380. Is that reasonable or very high to you guys?

The AC has to be discharged and the fan removed WITH the condenser, then separated by bolts. It's kind of a stupid setup, but at least you know your Freon level will be right when it's done. Get the fan assembly instead of just the motor or you'll probably be doing again in a year.
