Default Transmission question

I have 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 Cummings and a 48re trans automatic it is switching in and out of overdrive but not throwing any codes. Fluid looks great smells great truck has not been abused,, any help would be appreciated. I also redone the battery cables so I have ruled that out

Default found it

Thanks for responding. Pulled pan to change fluid and filter and found part of a snap ring in bottom of pan. 48re's are known for Overdrive issues. The snap ring broke in half and part of it is left on there but relieving some pressure so not letting it stay in OD. I also had a bad transducer which lead me to pulling pan in first place. The good in all this is all I have to do is pull transfer case and I can reset the OD spring and replace snap ring without pulling tranny. I will post an up date.......cross your fingers.

You can pull the o/d unit separately, but, it's not really a lotta fun.....
