Cool P1416

Have a 2006 Ram 1500 with 5.7 hemi, code P1416 and dead miss. checked for voltage and ground at MDS solenoid, ground ok, no power with key on. Replaced solenoid and reassembled. has comperssion cranking, as soon as engine starts both valves on 6 quit opening. Unhooked harness at rear of intake to disable MDS- no change. Removed solenoid to check for cut orings, everything good. At a loss for where to go next.

Well bud you need a new cam I'm, sure if it. I went through a similar situation with misfire codes and mds codes and then a PCM misdiagnosed faulty, if your valves are controlled with the cam the lobes are worn down not opening the valves
