I built an 06 on DC's website with the same options as my 05, the total was about 2K more than my 05.

The 06 headlights look so disproportional. I like the new 20's though.

Not a big fan of the front end. The wheels do look cool IMO. I got the same truck in Dec 03 (04 model) out the door for 23,500 cash. 32,000 is insane for a reg cab truck. Question, do the 06 powerwagons have that look or are they gonna look like 05 model trucks. Just wondering if Dodge was going to follow Ford with a slightly different look for their heavy duty trucks? Any one got any pics of 06 powerwagons?

Maybe I should have taken a drive down to USA to buy my truck. Even the money I would spend on gas and everything else would have been worth it... **** man, 12,000 difference? USD. ****...

I like the new Ram in person. For some reason, the look is "lost in translation" in the pics.

The 06's do look a lot better in person, IMO. Although, I still prefer the 05 style.

I leased my '05 for 239-ish, and it was stickered near $38K. To all those who are paying out their *** for an '06, you're getting what you deserve. Rebates/incentives were being laid on heavily to clear inventory before the refresh came out. Those who knew this profited and we are all entitled to laugh at those who didn't! hahaha!

So, the actual price hasn't risen all that much, but the rebates have disappeared. Don't worry - they'll be back in '09 though!

P.S. Rob[GL]: I'm fairly (99%) sure that not having reflectors on your side-markers is illegal. Maybe I just can't see them in the pic, but if you are worried about getting a ticket, you might want to look into that.

Go look at that, do you know how much work it was to remove the reflector? I'm not going to worry about it now. What's done is done.

talking `bout getting hosed and paying $$$$$ for a truck?
gonna tell ya a little story.

i live in austria and i´ve always been a fan of american ridess (got myself a harley roadking classic a couple of years ago).
this year, i decided to fulfill my dreams and buy a dodge ram 1500.
when you go to local car import-companies (no dealers in austria),
a 2005 1500 hemi laramie will set you back 75.000$[:'(]
so i decided to buy ram in the us (york, pa) and go all the long way to transport
my truck to austria, get the registration done .............

finally, i ended up with my 2005 1500 Hemi Laramie, intake, exhaust,....... for 54.000$
Much $$$$ but i´m HAPPY!!!!!

p.s. 06? never ever! i´m waiting for the 4th generation!

I don't like the 06 either. They lost the macho/ sexy look.
