Default Has anyone replaced their output seal on transmission?

I have the slightest leak at the output seal of my transmission where the drive shaft slips in. I have yet to find any write ups or how to's.
I have the 545rfe transmission and it's a 2wd model.

Many times a leaking front seal is a sign of something else going on. Trans has to be pulled back. Or dropped.

It's the rear out put seal where the drive shaft slips into the transmission. It's not the seal that attaches at the engine or torque converter.

Sorry read it wrong. Use a seal puller, maybe a little bit of a pain. Lube the new seal, ice a large socket to tap into place. Check fluid level after.

This is the seal I need. Extension housing seal. Some come with the metal sleeve possibly bushing.

You only need the bushing if the shaft is grooved. It keeps the seal from getting damaged. For the extra money may want to order the one with the sleeve just in case. It's pretty simple to do. You may even be able to borrow a seal puller. A screw driver will work, be careful not to hit the shaft.
