Default How much PS fluid?Hey Guys

Hey Guys!

The truck's an '03 1500 4X4 4.7L V8.

I need to change my power steering fluid but can't seem to find how much fluid (ATF+4) I should have on hand for this job.

It's really expensive over here and I don't want to buy too much...

Any help on this will be very much appreciated.

Cheers!

You already changed the pump once, didn't ya? Is this with pump number 2? If so, I wouldn't bother flushing the system, just install the new pump, fill and bleed the system, and call it a day.

The remanufactured pump that I installed burned out in less than 3 weeks...

((

so I'm repeating the procedure. Just can't remember how much fluid I used.

Fill the reservoir up, start the truck, move the wheel side to side an few times, check the level, top off. Have a couple quarts with you.
