2003 RAM QC 5.7 HEMI

The install was very easy! I had been running 92 gas since I orderd the unit and was CLOSELY watching gas, my main goal was to improve gas.

So I set it the Performance (yea gase in mind) and I took her for a spin..

I could tell it responded faster and such but here are the questions.

On the freeway @ 70 the over head read 18MPG while before it was like 14.4 ish.
During the 50-60 range it was like 21...

Can this be right? I know I need a calc at the end of the tank but what have you guys seend with the overhead meter and the super chip? is it correct? if so SWEET, more gas!!!

2nd question.
From a dead stop I was not able to spin the tires, it just hooked up and really took off, now, before it would leave about a 10ft patch from both tires? Is this from the transmtion adjustment? or is something not right?? I can tell it really pulled very hard as I knew it was different and it shifed stronger and wound out farter but I figured I would spin the tires ?

Forget the mickey-mouse "computer" and actually figure your miles per gallons put in. Then you'll know and can report it here as I recall someone doing in the past.

My experience with a stock hemi pulling a trailer with a race car was that my gas mileage went up 11% when I dropped my speed from 71mph to 66mph (IL speed limit... aaaagghhh), so lower speed will make for a disproportionate increase in mileage, irrespective of your chip/program--duh. The way they get the "official" mileage figures on the sticker is running them really slowing--about 46mph, as I recall. Who drives that speed on the highway (other than the numb-nut in front of me)?

Overall I am seeing about 1mpg overall improvement on the performance program. I might try the 87 program but I kinda like the performance side
