Default Problem with truck
I was trying to see if anybody can help me. I have an 02 Dodge ram 1500 I took the 5.9 that was in it and but a 5.2out of a 96 Dodge ram 1500 in it. It won't stay started in less I rev it up for about 45 sec and then it dos but the second I shift it to drive or reverse it dies. Could this be a BCM problem with it being a different motor and gen or what. Please help me out would really love to drive it.

Change PCM,that should clear the problem

Before you do that, check out the crank position sensor. Did it get munched up when the engine was swapped?

Unfortunately, it's behind the passenger side head, down on the bellhousing. It's a lotta fun to get to......
