Gears
2005 dodge ram 2500 SLT HD 5.7 4x4.
want to change my gearing from stock, which I think is 3.73 over to 4.56. axles tubes up front and outback are both 3.5" in diameter. 14 bolt. What i don't know is do I have 10.5" setup in back and front or 10.5" in rear and 9.25" up front. If anyone knows the specs, please enlighten me. And also a ball park figure to change both out$$?? And a list of parts needed if it's just a simple swap. (Providing everything looks good upon tearing apart) thanks in advance for any advice

You can get a build sheet from here, that will tell you what axles you have.
You are probably looking at 1500 to 2000 to change gears in both axles. NOT something for the average shade tree mechanic. Do it wrong, and at best, they will be noisy, at worst, they will destroy the gears...... not a good scene at freeway speeds. (or, anything faster than a brisk walk, for that matter....)

Just want a little more go upon take off and also in the near future I'm goin to have a 6" long long arm lift installed, so I think those gears will help me move the larger tires I will have. 36 or 37's I'm thinking. Also adding a couple of bolt on bolt on accessories and after all that is installed will have some custom tuning done with a Diablo Trinity by one of our local shops.

Anybody purchased anything from a site called (justdifferential.com)? Is the site legitimate and products authentic? 9.25 456 up front and 10.5 456 in the rear. And master install kits for both, just over $1200. Local machine and performance shop install cost, $300 rear and 400 for the front. Thoughts, advice welcomed. Trying to get some Intel on the site and their products that I mentioned above. (Just differential.com). Thanks in advance.
