2007 Dodge Ram 1500 ST Anti-Theft feature?
Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, but since this technical related, i think this may be a good place to ask.
I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 ST 3.7 v6 (base model)
What i'm asking is.
Is this a anti-theft feature in this model?
So, the other day, i tried to turn the key on the ON position, not on the starter position. Took the key out (Not sure if this is normal when the ignition is in the ON position.)
And i got a object that could fit the key hole and barely put it in there and tried to crank it. It started and ran for a second and it stalls. Put the key back in it, tried to start it again with the key.
And it would crank and not start (Assuming the fuel was shut off from the engine.) Released the key from the starter position and it would continue to crank until i turned the ignition completly off.
Tried this again another time using the same object it starts and doesn't stall.
I wonder if this is an Anti-Theft feature in a base model ram?
If so, it worries me a little bit about how flawed it is, and how easy it can be for someone to steal it.
