I have a 05 dodge ram1500 4x4 and I took the motor from a 02 had to switch planary gear that bolts to crank and switch cam sprockets the problem is on the 02 it doesn't have egr at all built intgo head or intake so I just plugged it in but I keep getting stalling out wial shifting or just starting it in park have to give it gas and Idk if t here is anyway to climate it without computer still tripping out.

 

Getting any codes?

 

I am getting egr performance and fuel rich but even wen it doesn't throw codes it wants to stall between park reverse and drive the egr can't acualy b hooked up cause the motor is from 02

 

Can you swap the sensors from the old motor, to the new motor? Don't know if much changed there...... but, it's possible.... Also, wasn't the 05 electronic throttle control?

 

No, 4.7 didn't get that til the redesign (310hp) in '08.
