Default Lamp out

OK, so if I have my headlights on and use my blinkers or hazard light, I get a dinging and a flashing “Lamp out”. It doesn’t happen when I don’t have the headlights on. All my bulbs are working. Any suggestions???

Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like a possible ground issue on one of the front light circuits. What year truck is it?

Does it do it with just the parking lights on or do the headlights have to be on as well.

Carefully inspect all turn signal bulbs including the terminals and sockets. You might want to take a new bulb or two and rotate them thru all the sockets to see if your issue goes away. Took me months to find an intermittent issue....found a tiny burnt wire terminal on the bulb where it makes contact with bulb socket.

Funny thing is I just bought the truck and the OEM headlights were badly oxidized. I bought new ones from O’Riely’s and that’s when I noticed the problem.

Sometimes there is an issue with the circuit boards in the taillight assemblies. Could be a voltage leak causing an issue.
