Default 2007 1500 LD Front Brake Hose

I've been going through the front end (wheel bearings, control arms, tie rods ends, etc.) and want to replace the front brake hoses. My truck has 130K miles; however, I ran into issues with both side where the caliper either slipped out of my hand or was let loose from the wiring holding it to the frame. I get a bad feeling when the brake hose has been subjected to forces like that. I had to replace a caliper earlier this year but can't remember if there are one or two crush washers. The repair manual does not reference the crush washer, so I was hoping someone might now if one or two is required where the hose attaches to the caliper.

That's what I was thinking. Now, the problem is Rock Auto lists hoses but does not say whether they come with hardware. I'm thinking of biting the bullet and buying a set at NAPA. I'm getting fed up poor quality parts or incorrect parts, these days.

Generally, the washers will come with the new line. At least, that has been my experience.

Just ordered left and right from NAPA. The illustration showed the washers.

Thanks again!

I had the same thing happen to my front brake hose while attempting to replace my front wheel bearing last week. Went south and swung back and forth a couple times. When I went to inspect it I noticed it leaking at the rubber junction by frame. Tugged at it and it completely broke away. Actually glad it broke. Was caked with rust inside the line and the fluid badly discolored. Never got the bearing job done but replaced the line. Funny thing is I think the line was my problem more than the hub bearing assembly. No more shimmying and wheel lock up in reverse.

You ain't kiddin. The washers from the parts stores that come with the brake hoses will leak. Then there's also the crappy surfaces of the reman calipers you have to factor in as well. Try to go online and order some OEM washers.

I had to replace a brake caliper earlier this summer because it was binding and wouldn't retract. After I broke the banjo bolt, I searched high and low, lucking out with the local NAPA. Fortunately, they had the crush washers as well, so I took a set and nary a problem.

Today, I picked up my brake hoses and immediately opened the boxes to inspect. One had washers while the other didn't. Fortunately, the clerk was able to give me a set without having to order any.

Many times I've pulled Napa parts out of the box and found OEM markings on them.
