codes and issues
Hey guys, long time I know but I need your expertise. Bear with me while I give you as much info as I can think of that may be relevant to the problems.
I don't tow or offroad so the there shouldn't be any terrible strain on my transmission. However, I have not yet changed my fluid at the 100,000 mark and am near 109,000. I'll be dropping the pan and changing filters in a couple of days.
Truck had been fine, with no noticeable issues, a couple months back the crankshaft Position Sensor went , no biggie I replaced it and everything was fine.
I had an appointment a few weeks ago to finally replace my airbags, so I set the Superchips tune back to stock. On the drive to the dealership truck performance was noticeably different (I remember thinking damn that performance tune is way better than stock). What I noticed was hesitation at acceleration, which in retrospect was likely transmission slippage. After I got it back I went back to Performance tune, but issues stayed. The initial codes I got were:
PO734- Gear ratio error in 4th
C2202- Original vin mismatching/missing
C2206 -Vehicle configuration mismatch
VO141 -Lost communication w/ FCM
VO100-Lost communication w/ ECM/PCM
I have since erased all trouble codes with only the( PO734- Gear ratio error in 4th) returning. Fluid level was low at operating temperature (below lower hot mark), but after adding about a quart of fluid (between hot dots) I still feel random slippage. Obviously, I will be changing fluid soon and hope it solves the issue, but does anyone think it could be an electronic issue? The symptoms seemed very noticeable right after changing the tune. Thanks for any and all help.

What year/engine? If it was fine when you brought it to them, it should've been fine when it left. Should've left the codes and brought it back and made them fix it. Makes me wonder, as airbag recall doesn't require any kind of computer flashing, it's hardware.
I went back to stock before I took it in ( I first notied a problem right after, as I was driving to the dealership). I always return back to stock in case they decide to flash it.
Good idea, I always do except for my Charger, it won't run right on the stock tune lol. Ah, if it started before then it isn't their fault. Did you disconnect the battery at all or was there a voltage spike of any kind? CAN bus vehicles are very cranky when it comes to power irregularities.

Dropped the transmission pan/ changed filters today, but still slipping. I just disconnected the battery again, and will retune with update, but losing hope at this point.
does the superchip tune change transmission settings? it could affect it simular to tow mode. i would try the tow mode and see if the slipping stops. the tow mode and possibly the superchip may be increasing the fluid pressure which could be keeping your 4th gear from slipping
