fuel tank
Thanks Gary , thats actually not a great pic but i will do what your saying . Dont have much choice at this point , lol . Fuel pump is bobbing up an down . Truck still runs , kind of amazing to me . lol
I just did some research on these fuel tanks. I might be wrong if the hold down fingers are gone. I'm posting a video at the time index which details removal of the flange. Maybe you can source new flange hold-downs? I know sourcing a tank may be difficult. Just things to consider.
Second Gen fuel pumps were easier to deal with because they fuel pump was secured with a large, nylon nut.

Luckily i have a van as a backup vehicle so im not sure how im gonna go about all this . It seems odd these tanks seem so hard to find . I guess this isnt a common problem . Im gonna check with a shop i deal with tomorrow an see if they hopefully can tell me what would be the most cost effective way . There pretty decent .

Be sure to post your resolution in the event someone else comes here with the same issue.
Run your VIN to get a build sheet on the Ram site. This will tell you exactly which one you have. While the different size tanks are somewhat interchangeable, they use a different strap at one end. Best to get the same size if you need to replace it, unless you want to upgrade.
