Lightbulb Transmission

I have a 03 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.9 gas 46re and it is shifting rough. Especially when in overdrive. I am gonna change the filter and fluid as well as flush the system. I was wondering if I should change the pressure switches and solenoids. Also should I put a sonnax sure cure kit in? How often do the pressure switches and solenoids go out? Thank you

I dont have much experience with the 46re. Fluid and filter would most likely help. I would make sure the tv cable is adjusted properly since its external and a easy thing to mess with

Adjust the bands while you are in there as well. Torque the adjusters to 72 INCH pounds, then back 'em off 2 turns, and secure them with the jam nuts.

You can get all the electronics in the trans for around 200 bucks...... (get the borg warner heavy duty governor solenoid kit.) Think it even comes with an output speed sensor.....
