Question.I had a coil go out on #3 cylinder. I replaced the coil, and both plug wires and still have the same problem. I ruled out that I bought a bad coil and checked the plugs. Hooked up a computer and still giving me the code for #3 cylinder misfire. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Update. I’ve replaced the injector on #3 cylinder and still have a misfire. Any suggestions on what to try next? Drove the truck after the injector change and it you can really feel the misfire under a load.
I think a test light would be adequate to the task,,,, just put it across the terminals for the injector, see if it blinks while the engine is running. Same for the coil.

Try a compression test I had this happen to my 04 5.7 I swapped. Change plugs and coils finally after that didn’t work figured I’d do compression test it had no pressure so I took cover off expecting to replace the valve and saw the pushrod fell out of place put in new ones and been fine since but try compression test make sure u have pressure. If no pressure then do a leak down test to see if it ur valves rings or head gasket. Good luck

Update. I replaced computer and ran fine for about a hundred miles. Started missing agian with same codes as before P303 and P300. I replaced all 8 coils and all the plugs. Starts and idles fine but when you drive it and accerlate you can feel the miss. (If that makes sense) I did notice that you can hear a ticking noise coming out of exhaust pipe. Next step is a compression test. Still at a loss.
