Default Muffler delete

2005 1500 5.7 auto - stock

i did the muffler delete on my 2016 5.7 challenger and love the sound.

id like to try the same on my 05 ram. Looks like the muffler is clamped in so no welding or cutting which means i can probably do this myself and easily return it if needed. Just wondering if anyone knows off hand the length and inner diameter of pipe needed to take the spot of the muffler (i think inner dia is what i need)?

You need the outer diameter of the front part and the inner diameter of the rear part. I.E. The inlet to the piece of pipe needs to go inside it, the outlet needs to go over the other end.

You are likely going to require heat to get the pipes apart. The clamps will distort the metal, and pretty much lock them together. Heat 'em up cherry red, then twist a bit, to get the metal to smooth out enough to pull them apart. Be VERY careful of where your various body parts are when you pull it apart though, that hot metal will make short work of you skin, even through heavy clothing.
