Default 48re to g56 help

Hey guys. I' new here and not sure if this is where I need to post this. But here goes.

I've got a 2003 ram 2500 with the 5.9 and a blown 48re. I found a 05 ram 2500 Hemi and it has a g56. Both trucks are 4x4. My question is, can I take the g56 out of the 05 and put it in the 03. I' sure I'll need some sort of adapter plate but not sure. Any help will be appreciated
thanks

Bolt patterns are different. Bellhousing won't bolt up. I would also question how long that trans would survive behind a diesel......

Not to mention you'll give your PCM fits putting a manual where an automatic was.
