Default Brake problem

I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500, 5.7 hemi. I just finished installing new valve springs on all 16 valves. I went to take it for a test drive and discovered I have no brakes. Stepping on the brake peddle is like stepping on a brick, I can barely push it down, and when I do get it to go down there is little to no brakeing.
I noticed the vacume connection at the booster has two places for a hose to connect, the large hose to the intake is connected, however the smaller connection is open. I seem to recall a cap being on the smaller side. I can't find a disconnected hose so I'm guessing this smaller one should b capped.
Does anyone know if it should be capped, or am I missing a hose?

Probably a cap would give you brakes back, and make the engine run a little better. That's a significant vacuum leak...... Check the emissions label under the hood, it should have vacuum line diagram somewhere.

Yup, you probably knocked it off while working on it. Supposed to be capped.
