Default ABS and Brake Light warning

Patient is a 2004 2500 TD 6Spd 4x4 QC 8ft bed 230kmi

Driving around town today, the truck made a dong sound and immediately illuminated the yellow ABS light and the red BRAKE(!) light. After coming to a complete stop, the lights went away. Then a few minutes later, it happened again. Braking doesn't seem to be affected. I shut the truck down a few times as I was going around my business, but it kept happening.

Anyone have any idea WTF? I am guessing a bad ABS wheel sensor. How do I troubleshoot this?

Start by looking at the hubs and inspect the sensors, tone rings and wiring.....

I figured as much. Is there any way to do an electronic diagnose to see which wheel it has a problem with?

Check the brake fluid too. If low, it can turn on those lights too, but it sounds more like a wheel sensor.
