where to buy ignition key, ram Hemi 2003

Key/chip solved for around $2.00
The key broke off in my ignition as I was able to get the broken piece out with tweezers. I went and got a standard key made at a hardware store for my 2003 dodge hemi for about $1.50. I used tin snips and cut the small piece of metal sticking out just past the grey plastic of the original key where the chip is inside. As a test I temporarily taped the grey plastic (chip) to the new key and the engine started right up. I drove around about an half an hour with no problems. I will then bond it more permanently to the new key. I believe should the grey plastic (chip) part of the original key fall of or get a few inches away from the ignition the engine will probably shut off. As a test I held the grey plastic (chip) just under the ignition near where the key goes and the engine started right up as well. Anyways I got my key problems solved and won't be paying the $60.00. I appreciate everyones help and suggestions. dave

RE: Key/chip solved for around $2.00
I think you would be safe mounting the chip part of the key in the dash (behind the dash) near the steering column, then you could just use the key with out having to bond the chip part to it. Or, by a "chipped" key off of eBay for $15, and program it per the directions above and have a spare......
