Default 4.7 injectors not firing

Ok, a little history. Bought an 03 ram 1500 with 4.7 from a guy as a project. Truck sat for 5 years with fresh heads torqued down and then the guy quit because he couldn’t figure out the timing chains.

Ive got everything back together. Timing set perfect. Engine will turn over but not run. Spray starter fluid she will crank but not run long. Today I took #1 spark plug out with a bright light looked down in the hole no fuel is spraying into the cylinder at all when turning the motor over. Thinking maybe the fuel rail sat so long open to the elements that she ain’t gonna **** a drop. Fuel rail has pressure on it and I’ve got fresh fuel in the rail.

Any ideas? Is this even possible?

noid tested this morning and they are receiving a signal from the computer but as far as I can tell they aren’t spraying at all... Also, ran fuel pressure test at the rail, ~50psi on fuel pressure. My test set is kind of ****ty so this might be a little inaccurate but I dont think it is too far off.

well on on a whim I called the local salvage yard and they just drug in an 03 with 4.7 with a windowed block. Pulled fuel line it smelled like fresh fuel so I yanked the whole rail basically to troubleshoot with. If it works I’m probably going to buy new injectors and replace them all.

complete fuel rail from a local salvage yard and she runs, but she won’t idle on her own and bank 1 is running rich enough you can smell it in the exhaust. I’m sure the entire fuel system was sludged up after sitting 5 years. Should I go ahead and replace TPS and IAC to make her idle or just run her and see if she opens up with a little more time running?
