Exclamation Mpg

Hi I'm new to the site. I am averaging 11mpg in my 04 1500 4.7. I have done tune ups tried higher octane fuel, even new cat back exhaust. I'm lost and have no other ideas. I was seeing if that's the norm or if anybody else had any ideas.

Replace the O2 sensors. (pre-cat) NTK or Denso please. Skip the bosch fellers. Our trucks don't like 'em.

Seems to me that would be about normal for a small displacement V8 with only 230hp struggling to pull around a 4800-5300lb (you didn't say if it was RC or QC) heavy *** truck.

With stock tires, my ‘05 1500 QC 4x4 averaged about 18.5 mpg. With LT285/70R17’s it averages about 15.

What are the specifics of your vehicle, Knot? Tires? Lift? Anything done to it other than OEM replacement stuff? It all makes a difference.
