02 dodge ram 1500. Keys fell in the defrost vent on driver side dash. I have tried several different magnetic tools with no luck. In process of taking the dash apart. Any help with this would be awesome.

Wire with a hook on the end, and a lot of luck. A bore scope would help you hook the keys...... being able to see what you are doing is always helpful. Could probably rent one from the local parts store.

Now, now... Be nice. We've all done stupid stuff before.

It is kinda funny, though.

I vote for the hanger and scope, too. Good luck, friend. Don't get too frustrated -- take a break for an hour or so if you find yourself getting too upset. Don't cause yourself more damage and problems on an issue that is relatively minor at the moment.

Been there before but it was some screws, a ring, keys, and my ego.
