Default Dual Exhaust mod

I have a 2006 Ram 2500 Mega Cab, 5.7L Hemi with single exhaust. I want to add a second exhaust pipe to augment the original...passenger side exists now and I want a pipe from the exhaust manifold to the bumper (including muffler) on the driver's side. My question: do I need to add another oxygen sensor and catalytic converter, and if so, is there a place to plug in the oxygen sensor?
Thanks
Ross

If you run a SI/DO catback, you won't need to change anything but the muffler and exhaust pipes. But if you run a true dual exhaust from the manifolds, you will need a cat for both sides as well as O2 sensors.

Unless you're truly running a HP set-up, a SI/DO catback is simpler and less $$, and looks and sounds great.

Aren't there already dual cats, and four O2 sensors on the truck hemi?

Is the wiring in place for the o2 sensor?

FWIW, single inlet Dynomax VT muffler with dual exits on my '05. Just replaced the old tail pipes and tips on it. The 5/16" clamps that came with the tubes were omitted for 3/8"

Whats the part # for the muffler you got? Also, did it bolt right up where the stock muffler was?

I purchased mine from Summit Racing. I bought it for the sound feature it has. My review is posted there as well (Got Tired Of The Cruising Drone...…)
Looks like the muffler is discontinued though. It was not a "direct" bolt up. A hanger was needed and I use a band clamp for the inlet.
The specs are still on Summits page...….
