I'm looking for a part and can't come up with the correct name for the damn thing! I'll take all of the heat you guys can dish if you can come up with the correct name for the thing. The black "spoiler" that mounts under the front bumper of my 02 1500. More of a protection part than a cosmetic part. Anyway, I've always called them a front spoiler. Can't seem to locate it under that name anywhere though.

Yep...AirDam it is Pork Chop. One of those pieces that I never thought I'd have to replace, thx!

 

Back from my days in the body shop I think they were also called a valance. Not sure if that is spelled right either.

 

Yeah valance is another name for it too.

I've looked around today on Ebay and online and can't seem to find this part for the 3rd Gen Rams. I have the Chrome bumper, the air dam on mine is a seperate part that screws to the bottom of the bumper. I know the Sport models have the molded air dams that are actually part of the front bumper but I have the 2 piece chrome bumper on mine (no Sport model). I've found the part for the 2nd Gen Rams but nothing for 3rd... Probably gonna have to call the dealer tomorrow. Thx for the info!

PORKCHOP, that's the correct part but for the wrong model. It states that it's for 94-02 Older style Gen 2 models. It should actually say 94-01 1500 models. I have the 3rd Gen 1500 body style 02, unfortunately that won't fit on mine. It says that it will fit on the 02 2500 but not the 1500 (which is what I have).
