Default Headrests to far backwards

So after a month of no response lets try asking this in the technical forum. So my 2007 dodge ram 1500 quad cab the headrests are to far BACKWARDS yes BACKWARDS and NOT to far forward like everyone else but me seems to suffer. It's extremely uncomfortable and tiring as putting my head back puts it uncomfortably far back and yes they're at the right height. Is there someway to fix this because it's really annoying especially for the long drives i have planned next year. The seat is adjusted right as well for me and is really comfortable otherwise.

Pull them all the way out and flip them around.

Will that move them forward because I hear that actually moves them further back.

Try it and see. What do you have to lose?

That didn't fix it and made it worse. I might have to get a pad to attach to it to move it more far forward. Besides when i lean my head back only a sliver of it touches my head. Anybody know of one or junkyard/other car ones that'll fit.

I don't think most headeests on any vehicle are "designed" for a driver to rest their head on while driving. They are mostly to prevent whiplash injuries from your head snapping back in a rear-end collision.

Well currently there's 3-5 maybe more I'm not sure my sense of scale is ****** inches between my head and the headrest. My Head also is tilted back extremely far when i tested how itd move in a collision and only a sliver of it touches the head rest. I think in a collision it'd do little. Getting another from another vehicle is better that actually supports my head or looks like it'll catch my head and not make it go 45+ degrees in the rear end collision scenario everyone talks about.

I have never rested my head on the headrest of any car I have owned. They have all been too far back. It is there to prevent whiplash. You'll had to use a pad of some sort.
