There isn't any way to predict time to fix. Too many variables.

Tear down to see what's wrong... order parts, wait for parts, get the wrong parts (ask how I know), finally get the correct parts, install same, test, may or may not be fixed depending on what they did and who did it and initial diagnosis...

Get the picture?

what are the prices for these and how good are they compared to the powertrax lock right? and how difficult are they to install, also on dry and wet pavement does the *** end want to go out more than the anti spin diff thats in it already?

West Coast Differentials has the Truetrac for $479. Unless you have experience with gear work it will need to be installed professionally. It is not a locker. It is however a good compromise, somewhere in between the factory LS and a locker. The road manners seem to be no different than the factory unit on pavement. I don't make many attempts to break the tires loose on pavement though. 35" mud terrains don't tend to like that. I plan on getting offroad for a test very soon.

My truck does te same thing. cluch packs are wore out. getting an 2006 in January.

I agree, something is wrong w/ your LSD. Mine will even spins the tire on tight turns on dry pavement in normal driving. I'd see what the dealer does first before going to another type unit. These axles are well done...normally.

Is there any way to test to see if I have a anti-spin diff. without jacking it up. I have an 03' 1500 4x4 4.7 3.92 rear end. Regular cab. I think I have this but I wanna test for sure without jacking it off the ground.

*EDIT* I just went and looked at the sticker inside my glove box. This is what I remember,
Torque Converter: LOCK
Axle: 3.92
Axle: Rear Corporate 9

What does that stuff mean?

There are probably a couple holes in your memory but:

torque converter: nothing to do with your rear end, has to do with how your transmission interfaces with your engine.
axle 3.92: every time your drive shaft rotates one time your wheels rotate 3.92 times
axle corporate 9: the variety of axle installed in all non srt dodge 1500. Has to do with how wide your pumpkin/diff is

Actually Frogslinger it's the other way around, your drive shaft turns 3.92 times for every 1 revolution of your wheels. Your driveshaft is connected to the pinion gear, the smaller of the two, which in turn meshes with your ring gear, the larger of the two, which drives your axles. the pinion gear has to turn 3.92 time to turn the ring gear once. If it was the other way around your truck wouldn't have enough power to move.
