Default Help! 03' Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 hemi

Currently have some engine issues going on with my truck and I know it's probably seals going out. Before I take any steps I just would like to know for sure what is exactly going on.

Engine has 208654 miles on it.

issues: burns oil and I have to top the oil every time I fill up on gas.

when I first start the truck blue smoke comes out.

it is now also idling fairly rough. When I come to hard stops it likes to shut down completely.

Any helpful answers would would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks all.

Valve seals are likely a contributor, but, I would be tempted to do a compression test, and see what things look like.

For the stalling, disconnect the battery, remove, and thoroughly clean the throttle body.

When is the last time you changed the plugs??

If the engine is burning oil, you'll want to run hotter plugs so they don't foul as fast.
