Compression test netted no answers. All cylinders had good compression. Mine is the 5.7 Hemi.

Yes, it will actually start and run. Just will not idle. Once you get it up over 1500 RPM it sounds just fine but as soon as you let off gas it dies. The more you do it the harder starting it becomes. Have to give it gas to start.

Dodge said it needed a new PCM. I am wondering if the PCM would cause the issues that I am having now.

Anything is possible. Is yours the 'throttle by wire' system? (no cable from gas pedal to throttle body, all electronically controlled.)

Yep the throttle body is all electronically controlled.

May want to try giving the throttle body a very thorough cleaning first. (and reset the PCM as well.) See if that doesn't take care of it.
