07 Dodge Ram Hemi, 60K. Have kept on top of all maintenance.
Yesterday drive belt started squealing. Spray water on belt, squealing stops.
Inspected pulleys, there was minor play in idlers and tensioner pulleys, so replaced them. Belt appears fine, no signs of wear. Have a new one, haven't installed yet.
Still squealing a little bit. Inspect AC compressor, alternator, and they do not have any play, seem solid.
Watching motor run, see that belt is "walking" on the center fan pulley. There is also an intermittent knocking or chugging sound (cant really hear in video). It appears that the central fan pulley may be moving in/out slightly.
There is no CEL, motor runs smooth. Truck has not been abused, driven softly most of its life.
If pulleys are new, accessories don't have any play, yet its still squealing and the fan seems to have some in/out play, what could be going on?
