Default acceleration issues

I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 4.7L 4 door. I am having issues with acceleration. when driving highway speed if i hard accelerate to pass it boggs down and will at times stall. when at stop sign if I hard accelerate it will do the same. I have been told its catalytic converter, I have also been told its egr valve. I suppose my real question is if I have a bad catalytic converter would it allow me to drive 70 75 on the highway? or do i have a gas flow issue ?? Or a egr Issue. One more history point i was having an issue with a rapid passenger side blinker it has stopped the same time my other issue started. I have done a past code test and it did show o2 sensor and injector issue on bank 2 I do not remember the codes exactly. Also i was told if its catalitic converter my gas mileage would be worse but it has not change may even be better because I am liter on the peddle.

O2 sensors are very important for the engine to run properly. If you are still getting those codes, find out what they are, and fix 'em. Gotta start there.
