Laredo w/'suck ass' Infinity Stereo?!
Man - don't let a troll with a disfunctional caps-lock key get y'all riled up!
As for the stereo issue, I have to say I feel like a chump after spending like $800 to upgrade to the Infinity stereo in my '06. I did it mostly to get the steering wheel mounted controls, cuz I like those on my Jeep, and the 6-cd changer is nice too. BUT, the sound is pretty pathetic.
I'm far from an audiophile, but even to my ears the midrange is overwhelming and there is some sort of harmonic or something on the front door speakers that makes them almost useless much of the time. I've screwed around with fade, bass, treble, mid, etc. and haven't made any good progress.
So, is there any way I can keep my fancy head unit and just replace speakers or something to make it better? Suggestions?

Anyone kept the head unit and replaced just the speakers? The head unit is very functional and has all of the features that I really need. I don't want to replace the speakers if the head unit is also crap. However, it really doesn't appear that power output is the problem. Just some really poor speakers.
I have not read the whole tread as i have read loads that follow simular lines.
There is nothing wrong with the Infinity brand *BUT* IT IS STOCK, its not a stock bose system wich is good.
This system is poor mainly because the speakers are paper, go down and good ICE/Car Audio store and get a after market kit you WILL notice the difforence.
Have a look at the stock and aftermarket speakers and you will be amazed at to build qauilty of the stock speakers, bloody crap! why? because its marketing for dodge to "BOAST" it has a Infinity system, a way of selling the truck.
IMO fist thing any person who buys any car/truck should do if they want a good sound is get straight to the audio shop and buy a decent set os components and 6x9s
I have done this and went the Infinity route and I can easly say, they are the best value speaker and best performing speaker for the money, bottom line.

Thanks for the advice. Just want to make sure...you kept your stock head unit and replaced just the speakers? Also, any problem with vibration in the door. Someone else mentioned Dynamat, so I took the door panels off and gave some pressure around the speaker. The difference was incredible. I thinking a mix of new speakers with Dynamat installed would be the way to go.
