Just bought my Ram 5.7L Laredo and it says it has an Infinity sound system. Wow, what a disappointment in quality of sound. I thought the speakers were blown and so did the dealership. They replaced both front door speakers and they still resonate terribly at higher bass levels. Anyone else have this same system? Did you have the same sound results? Did you replace anything that has helped. I was going to buy better speakers, however, if the head unit isn't capable of pushing better speakers then it's not worth the money or time. Advice??

 

Yeah, the Infinity system is nothing to brag about. Go to a dedicated audio store and see what they can do for you.

 

One word Dynamat. I used to have this annoying rattle from bass on the driver's side door. It would decrease if I cracked the window a bit, but still annoying. I had Dynamat installed in all the doors and don't have any complaints now.

 

MAM THE INFINITY SYSTEM SUCKS BUT YOU CAN PUT NEW SPEAKERS IN IT BECAUSE THE INFINITY SYSTEM COMES WITH AN AMPLIFIER THAT PUSHES LIKE 150W TO EACH SPEAKER SO IT COULD HANDLE A SPEAKER 100W-300W

The infinity system has MAX power output of 240watts TO ALL 7 speakers!!!! I know because I had the infinity system in my laramie until i ripped it out and installed a new system and amp.

The infinity system is very very cheap quality made for chrysler with a little black stamp that says infinity on it...pull out a speaker from the infinity system and you will see what i mean. nothing special...garbage....including the amp.

 

BTW...."laredo" is for a jeep. I think you mean "laramie" maybe???
