buying a ram, afraid of 5.7 hemi shutting off problem?
my 03 ram hemi auto did this stall thing when it was new and cold in the mornings, backing out my driveway, int drive it stalled almost every morning, dealer said a firmware upgrade would fix it, .. it did.

If you are going to worry over that, don't even bother looking at a GM, Ford, or Nissan product.
GM's piston slap, Ford's shake and blown plugs, Nissan's poor attempt to fix the rear end problem (at least they got the brakes fixed).

I agree with ya there, but dont forget gm's through away motors and the fact their I6 has a problem dropping cylinder sleeves.lol
I only have 400 miles on my new 07 ram, but I have had no shutting off problems. My work truck is an 07 Ford F350 SC 4x4 V10 and I have had it shut off 3x on me in the first 2200 miles. It happens when I shift from N to D or R too quickly after starting it. It's a great thing on a law enforcement vehicle. [:@]
I would buy the hemi. I had the 4.7L in a 02 qc 4x4 and it was a gutless wonder. So I went and bought a 2500 with the ctd. The 4.7L sucks imo but thats just me.

Anyway, the transmission constantly adjusts how firmly it shifts between P-R-D. It learns every time you shift.
