Default Rpm surge when cursing at highway speeds then taking foot off gas

I have an 03 Ram 1500 with the 5.9L gas engine. Recently I have noticed that when I知 driving at speeds around 45-55 (about 1500 rpm depending whether I知 in overdrive or 3rd gear) and I take my foot off the gas to coast my RPM surges anywhere from 200 to about 400 above where I already was. This causes my truck to accelerate forward in that brief moment that I take my foot off the gas. Transmission was rebuilt at about 114,000 miles and I知 at 145,000 now. It痴 shown no signs of leaks or any issues and I知 not getting any check engine type codes that I can read. It only does it at the higher speeds too. Does anyone have any ideas at all or has anyone experienced this type of thing?

Update: Checked the throttle position sensor, everything was all good there, next thought was my brake light switch because it can make the truck think that you're pushing the break pedal thus disengaging the torque convertor. However, it was not that. What we did find was one of the grounds on the truck's electrical system was not making proper contact, this was causing the torque convertor to drop in and out while at hwy speeds. After checking all grounds and ensuring they all had good contact the truck has been running as expected with no issues. Hope this helps anyone who has this kind of issue in the future.

I'm thinking it was the one on the passenger side of the engine compartment that goes right along the edge where the hood makes contact with the truck (above the right fender). The reason I think it was that one is that it recently had been taken off when I was putting a cold air intake on (even though I swore I put it back on correctly). Though I cannot say for sure since we went through and adjusted them all, but if I had to guess, that would be the one that I believe was causing the issue.
