Default New generation Lift Blocks

Guys I am thinking about lifting my truck and was wondering why these aftermarket lift blocks are either made of plastic or aluminium. It would be much easier to remove the original flat rubbers by changing them with higher rubbers without using any other parts. Did anyone tried this before?

You will need longer bolts at the very least. Stiff plastic/rubber is a better idea than any metal. Transmits less vibration to the cab.

Yes I know but the question is, why not using one high rubber instead the original low rubber combined with a plastic spacer to get the height?

You really don't wanna go more than 3"s with a body lift. Beyond that, and bolts start bending, and you gotta get REAL creative to relocate some stuff (radiator/shroud) and the steering intermediate shaft may be too short as well.
