Default Differentials

What differentials (front and back) would my 05 1500 4x4 quad cab have? How can I tell what ratio they are and if they’re limited slip? I just bought the truck so I’m trying to learn more about it.

You can pull a build sheet from here, it will tell you what your truck came with from the factory. (gear ratios and such.) I don't recall what axles it has in it though. (I think that info is on the build sheet as well though.)

Definitely 9Ľ in the back, I forget what's up front. May or may not have LSD in the back, I don't recall them ever putting it up front from the factory. Run the build sheet.

The link said that there were no records for my VIN so I emailed Dodge and they sent me the build sheet. It lists the rear differential as “Corporate 9.25 LD Rear Axle” and “Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle” with a 3.55 ratio. And the front is “205MM HD Front Axle.”
And apparently I have three recalls that need to be taken care of.

I was able to get my build sheet from Dodge (the link said there was no info available for my VIN). It says I have the 9.25” anti-spin LD rear axle with 3.55 gears and the front is a 205MM HD axle.

Yep, corporate 9.25 with limited slip. 3.55 gears. Front will be the same ratio, but, the only traction aids they put in front axles were the electric lockers, and that was only in the power wagons, so far as I know. I don't think it was even an option in 05. (and I think the power wagons were 3/4 ton trucks in any event.)
