Default Random High Idle - 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi

All fluids have been changed this year.

Using only regular Shell gas.

My truck isles high then back to normal often. At stop lights or running on parked. She’ll idle a couple hundred rpm for a second then back down.

Any ideas how to get smoother consistent idle?

That is generally the sign of a vacuum leak.

Wherever there is a vacuum line. , also potentially any intake manifold gasket surfaces. Use something like carb cleaner, and spray it around various places with the engine at idle, if the idle changes, you are in the right neighborhood.
