This is for the 2004-2005 Ram

TACH DARK BLUE/GRAY See NOTE *5 @ PCM, ORANGE plug, Pin 34, See NOTE *5

NOTE *5 the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is located on the PASSENGER SIDE firewall, the DIESEL tach wire is a GRAY/BLACK at the ECM (Electronic Control Module) on the lower drivers side of the engine, 60 pin plug, pin 24. You cannot use the Wait to Start wire on this vehicle. For the WAIT to START, use the programming in you unit for the 5, 10, 15 or 20 Second Wait to Start Timer.

If You need anymore wiring codes go to http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/ they have them for all makes and models and there free.

Thats where i got the wiring diagram but they said to hook the tach wire to the fuel injector. Well i did and as soon as i did the check engine light came on. I took the truck to the dealer and they said that the injector wasn't getting any ground wire. And i didn't cut the wire. So now i am kind of scared to tie it too the injector.

Ok another problem. I went to a local shop to get itinstalled and they sayd they have to disarm the factory alarm for the thing to work is that true? My remote car starrter doesn't have the disarm function. Will i be able to install it? Even if i use only the remote start function. THX

remote starts generally do not play nice with alarm systems... their circuitry tend to cross paths, which we all know is not that great an idea from an electronics point of view... this is one of the few items where I would fess up the extra cash and have your dealership install a new mopar starter.

look at the coil packs and you will see there will be common colours between them all and then one wire on each will be different from the others. such as(not the actual colours), all will have a black, red etc and each will have one wire that is a different colour for each coil pack. Hook it to the wire that is different between them all.
