Default Red blinking light and no power.

Hello,

Went to start my 2005 Ram 2500 and couldn't get it to start. Was working fine earlier in the day and nothing happened that would cause it to malfunction. The battery was also changed in December. The only thing on is a small blinking red light to the right of the speedometer, It also produces an odd noise. When I go to start it nothing else comes on and it doesn't even attempt to turn over. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Have an owners manual? Have a look, and see just what that little red light means.

That usually means the security is activated

In the manual it appears to be the security feature, I just don't know how to reset it.

Try unlocking the front doors a couple times. (with the key, not the fob.)

I tried a couple different methods but nothing was successful. Does anyone know what fuses are tied to the security system?

Pulling a fuse isn't going to help. Do you have another key?

Have you tried leaving battery unhooked? When unhooked for 24 hours it actually completely resets the pcm

What is the state of charge on the battery? Have you tried a boost or another battery ?
