That’s kinda in works. Friend at tire shop down the street has one and said he is free Sunday to bring camera over. Hoping I don’t need to remove head to fix misfire. But unless something else pops out as being an issue it’s starting to look like head. Only has 130k too. My 5.2 had 250k before I sold it and it had zero issues.

2003s were known to have issues with some of the valve springs breaking. Should be easy to see if you pull the valve cover....

Default No broken springs

Took cover off. Rotate engine a few times. Rockers seemed to go up same height. Hooked it up to air compressor. You can hear a small about of air leaking out. Took a lighter around head looking for the flame to move. Nothing. Push rods looked good. Anything else to look at?

I think I'd get both valves closed on that cylinder, then use one of those spark plug fittings to add air to the cylinder and see if you have a valve sealing issue. Below is a lisle from Amazon. Probably can grab one locally pretty cheap.

Default Removed rocker arms

Used my compression test hose again with compressor. Valves are closed and can hear air leaving but can’t tell where. Not coming out throttle or exhaust. Nothing on head.

Would a bad injector be a possibility?

Might be just getting by the rings, how much pressure did you use to test with? You already swapped the coils and the misfire didn't follow, right? Perhaps time to swap the injectors and see if it follows the injector. Probably a good idea to get new o-rings beforehand.

I moved coils on both sides. To cover both plugs on that cylinder. Rings could be possible. To test I used about 100psi.

At that pressure, you should be able to hear where it is running off to. Did you have the oil fill cap off? (oh, you had the valve cover off....... ) Listen to the throttle body (wide open) and also the exhaust. If you don't hear it in either place, that leaves the rings.

Compression test?

Yeah did all. There is no air in exhaust and out throttle body. I did compression test and 2&4 were lik 130psi. 6&8 were like 120. After I had it warmed up I up 1 tbs of oil in before test. Only went up 2psi in cylinder 6 which is one mid firing.

Rent a bore scope, and have a look inside the cylinder. Since the compression numbers didn't change, seems that rings aren't the issue. What does the plug look like in #6?
