2005 ram 1500 4.7 liter P0344 code on a new reman engine
I am seeing alot of variety onlie. How can I tell if a lifter for a 2008 will fit a 2005 engine?
In 2008 they seem to have fixed lifter issues.
Would a lifter with a larger hole on the side be better than one with a smaller hole? Better flow?

When I removed the valve covers there is alot of buildup on the rocker arms and journals, what is the best way to clean this out?
It wipes off but can I spray something to clean the area up and make it look almost new?
It is a remanufactured engine and the heads were rebuilt 2 years ago, I thought it should be clean and have no build up.

If you use some variety of spray cleaner on them, change the oil before running the engine. May also wanna pour some clean oil over the rockers and such, so things aren't running dry at startup.
