Default Rearend swap

I have an 04 Ram SLT 2WD with typical 9 1/4 rearend. I'm hearing a grinding noise mainly on drivers side. I replaced my wheel bearings a few months ago, and when I opened diff, I found a needle in the bottom of the housing. I think it came form the D/S carrier bearing. Here's my dilemma, should I by a bearing rebuild kit and rebuild it or I can drop a 3.92 Posi in it? I can get a complete rearend for $400. All i would need to do is unhook brakes, shocks and springs and replace.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I would go for the complete rear swap. Likely end up being cheaper.

Best bet would probably be to get the complete one.

Default 2005 Rumble bee

Just bought a 2005 Rumble bee from my dad, and he has replaced the rear end twice. The original smoked right after having the recall done at our local Dodge. The first replacement was good, everything worked (too bad it was pretty worn out), but the second one came from an '06 and now the speedometer won't work....any ideas?!
Thank you in advance!
