Default Gear swap for 2wd 5.9 magnum

Hey so I'm looking at swapping from a 3.55 gear ratio to a 3.92. The truck is 2wd with the 5.9 magnum. Looking to get more direct power application to the wheels and a 3.92 looks pretty good. Any recommendations? I do tow quite a bit which is my main reasoning. The 3.55 is just sluggish.

Are you going to stick with stock size tires?

I have oversized tires now. I was just going to do an axle ring and pinion kit

Unless you find a whole axle for cheap going from 3.55 to 3.92 won't make enough difference to be worth doing, I would go with a 4.10 ratio at least.
