Default Performance Mods for 4.7?

Hello,
Two weeks ago I purchased an '05 ST 4.7 5sp Auto 3.55 Axle Ratio (wanted a stick, none left, wanted a HEMI, none left, '06 too expensive. )

I have a bit of HEMI envy (but my intention was to get a used truck (3rd vehicle for occasional utility use), ended up trading in my daily driver on a new '05, price was just too good. But now that this is my daily driver for 2 years it is feeling a bit sluggish), I digress... Anyway what can be done with the 4.7 to give it new life?
3.7 = 215 HP
4.7 = 235 HP
5.7 = 345 HP

I know the 5.7 is a completely different engine (Well, I think I know...), but the 4.7 seems to be a pretty weak improvement over the V6 considering the additional Liter of displacement. Is there a sleeping dragon there, or is it just a weak engine? My searches so far have only turned up chip mods for the HEMI, no superchargers or turbos that advertise compatibility with the 4.7. But then I'm new to trucks, and performance enhancements so may not be looking in the right places.

I've not seen much browsing through the forums here as to performance mods for the 4.7. What have folks done? What is available?

Not just a lot you can do. Google is your friend though. Do a search and you will get a lot of Dakota sites. BTW, although there is not much difference in the HP ratings, the torque ratings are significantly differet - 236 vs. 300. HP is not the only thing a vehicle needs to move.........

Those tuner kits don't work with the 04-05 Dodge Rams do they? The tuners specify the Hemi not the 4.7. Or did I miss something?

That link I posted specifically says the 4.7. I would still rather keep the $500 in my pocket though. If I wanted to race I would have kept my Z-28 but to each their own.....

Watch out for making mods. I've talked to my service manager about making mods, changing things like the chip can void your warranty.

One good mod you can do is get the full K&N Filter kit. Dual exhaust doesn't do much other than make it sound good. Not sure if putting headers on violates warranty, but it will if it affects the polution controls.

I once was going to get a K&N kit. Anyone who has this- did you notice a difference?

Feels sluggish bc you have 3.55 gears....need to get rid of those and get 3.92's at the least. But since gears should be one of your first few mods I'd go ahead and do 4.10 or even 4.56's. Trust me gears will change the giddy up of any truck BIG TIME.

BTW....intake exhaust....all for sound. If you are going to go with headers and all that stuff its only worth all that $$$ if you are putting a turbo or super charger on it. Other wise you wont get the performance gains you are looking for. But once again...gears should be one of the first things you do.
