Default Air bags on rear

08 5500 service truck. Empty weight 15620 lb. Has anybody used air bags. Will the frame rails hold up with a loaded weight of say 25 to 26 thousand all the time?

I don't know if I would trust air bags as the suspension on a truck that big...

With the service body on the frame im gonna have to cut spring shackles to remove old springs. I am also having trouble finding aftermarket replacement springs that have a higher lb rating than stock. With the pickup empty ( no tools or parts) it is sitting on overloads. I have looked at general spring, SD spring and at a local fleet pride. Any outer places to look?

See if there isn't a place around that does custom leaf springs.

And why are there two different member names for the same problem here?
